This was our first time visiting Other World Escapes, and as usual, they very kindly accommodated our last minute booking! The staff were very friendly and clearly passionate about their rooms. We had a great chat with them after about our favourite puzzles, and they gave good recommendations (and discounts!) on which room to do next, including their sister site Sip and Solve (more on that to come!)
Theming
This was a shorter room at only 45 minutes but they still packed in a lot of adventure! Every inch of the space was decorated in the style of a fairytale witch’s cottage, with tons of props to interact with. It wasn’t the most high budget or technical theming but still incredibly immersive and enjoyable. Perhaps they could’ve made the cottage a bit less cosy and a touch more creepy, but perhaps that’s just us!
Puzzling
All the puzzles were really intuitive and creative, and flowed really smoothly from one to the next. There was lots to take in at any one time, but we never felt lost or overwhelmed. Clearly some passionate and talented puzzle designers at play here! This room was full of lovely ‘Aha!’ moments, as we finally realised what we were supposed to do!
