Hosting
We were enthusiastically greeted by Host Baker Lou, who helped us break into Soggy Bottom Bakery, informing us that we KNEADED to find the secret ingredient for the award‑winning sausage rolls. Not only did she give us a brilliant introduction, but she also indulged us in a thorough debrief after we escaped, showering us with plenty of compliments (always appreciated!)
Theming
The theming and set design were fantastic; it even smelt like a real bakery, and the food props looked good enough to eat (our host kindly asked us not to). Each new space we entered had a distinct flavour, shifting from cute to industrial to cramped to hot. Every inch of the room was utilised, and not a single part of the set felt half‑baked. It really was such a fun experience exploring the entire space: for a second I truly believed I was a pastry spy in action!
Puzzling
All the puzzles were challenging but dough‑able (last pun, I promise), with some relying on dexterity, others on observation, and a couple on logic. There was such a variety of creative and different puzzles, that there is surely something for everyone in this room. We came close to asking for clues, but luckily a second look around did the trick. There were so many positives to this room, but the overall pacing of the puzzles is what made it one of the strongest rooms we’ve done. The icing on the cake (sorry) was the final reveal. Thank you for a fabulous escape!
