Hosting
Our third and final room at Red Door – Las Vegas and another pleasant experience (see more here). The staff were super helpful and accommodating when we had to make a last minute change to our booking. Often from these bigger chains, the customer service goes out the window, but not here. We would seriously recommend this venue if you ever find yourself in Sin City!
Theming
There is not a whole lot you can do with prison theming and so the room wasn’t quite as exciting as the other two rooms. Overall, it was just a bit bare, but in some ways, I suppose that’s the point? It was also missing that novelty element from their other rooms (the sound-meter or the curse interruption) so this isn’t a room that will stick out for us but it was still fun being locked up with unerving psychic phenomenons going on around us leading to a grisly reveal.
Puzzling
This was the weakest of the three room we did here in terms of puzzles, although we ought to take some responsibility for a couple of times where we just didn’t search hard enough. There was one particular puzzles involving writings on the wall, which was both an unobvious clue and had a bit of a leap in logic – I’m not sure how we would have got that one without a hint. However, there were good puzzles that involved both observation and logic. We didn’t manage to make it on the leaderboard this time, but that’s not why we do this (or at least, that’s what we keep telling ourselves!)
