Our host asked if we needed a break between rooms, but we were ready to charge straight in. Leaderboard glory was calling! The Corpsewood Killer definitely ramped up the jump scares compared to Block 29, including one brilliantly hammed‑up fridge reveal… because yes, the jump scare was a pig head.

Theming/Puzzling

The puzzles were mostly good, but the flow between them felt a bit choppier. We had a few stretches of wandering around aimlessly, not entirely sure what to do with the information we’d gathered. Still, we escaped in 22 minutes and snagged our spot on the leaderboard, so no complaints there. I’d originally marvelled at the value of doing both rooms, but honestly, the two combined felt more like one full‑length experience.. so the value for money wasn’t quite as strong as I first thought. After a very quick debrief, our host mentioned that The Watcher will likely live on in a new location, so we’ll be keeping our ears pricked for more scary fun from the XScream Escapes team.

Not quite as smooth as Block 29, but we were pleased to be able to fit in both rooms back to back. Unfortunately they are now closed, but you can find other horror escape room below:
