About Escape Room 101
Honest escape room reviews, rankings, recommendations and over-analysis from two people who spend far too much time locked in themed rooms.
Who are we?
We are Leanna and Nathan, husband and wife, madly in love… with Escape Rooms!! Our number rule is to have fun: we don’t mind asking for hints, and we don’t take ourselves (too) seriously.
Nathan is a logic loving, neuro-spicy, mathematician who’s strength is solving puzzles. Leanna is a theatrical, chaotic, poet who is good at searching for things and making narrative connections. Nathan will judge the puzzles, Leanna will judge everything else. Together we make a great team.
What we review
We review escape rooms we have personally played, focusing on puzzles, atmosphere, hosting, story, flow and overall enjoyment.
How we score
Our ratings are based on how much we enjoyed the room overall. A room does not need to be huge or high-tech to score well — it just needs to be memorable, fair and fun.

Our review style
We try to be honest without being harsh. If something did not work for us, we will explain why — but we are much more interested in celebrating clever ideas, great moments and rooms worth recommending.
